ClickBank University 2.0 Review

If you are interested in how to make money online, you are already aware of the fact the fastest way is to pay for a course. You can attend the off-line course (which costs probably a few hundred bucks) or there are plenty of courses online.

One such course is offered by ClickBank and it is called ClickBank university.

Let’s do the ClickBank University 2.0 Review so you will find out whether it is worth the money or not.

You probably already heard of ClickBank University. It is a platform developed together with the ClickBank affiliate program, where they teach you how to make money online as an affiliate marketer or as a vendor (or both).

What is the real price for the CBU course?
Are there any upsells?
How much it would cost me in the end?
Is it really worth the investment?

We will be looking into that deeper. But I will reveal right away the price structure with ClickBank University 2.0.

As you see the Advertised Price of $47 (it is actually $56.40 what you are charged because of the Tax) per month is only the basic training.

Name: ClickBank University
Website: www.clickbankuniversity.com
Advertised Price: $47
Total Price:
$47  per month + Upsell $594
Owners:
Justin Atlan / Adam Horowitz

The price is not that bad, considering other similar courses. In my own experience, there is a better alternative and you can check it by yourself.

Here is briefly my opinion about ClickBank University 2.0:

The Good & the Bad

  • Training is not up to date
  • Upsells,  you are not informed of at the beginning  – $594 + $97
  • Locked training (although it is possible to ask support to unlock them)
  • They do not teach how to get organic traffic

  • Concentration on product creation
  • A written version of the video training
  • Active Community (after each video there is a section for questions and interactions)

Who is ClickBank University 2.0 For? Tools & Training

For the advertised price $47/month you purchasing basically 2 types of courses. They both have quite a good amount of information for beginners and intermediates.

When you decide to buy this product, the first thing you will see is the access to CBU 2.0 Course along with some bonuses, which is not mentioned in their pre-sale video.  That is always a nice thing to see some extra material  🙂

So after clicking on the first on CBU 2.0 View product,  you will be welcomed by Founders of the product.

ClickBank University 2.0 Review

By clicking at the CBU 2.0, you open the main course where you have access to the Vendors section and the Affiliates Section.  ClickBank University 2.0 Review

1st type The VENDORS section is dedicated to those who would like to learn how to promote their own product that is why it is called vendors. This is a 12-week training. To be precise it is video training. It is backed up by the written version, which is good.

First 3 weeks consists of following topics:

  1. How Everything works + Setup Success
  2. Finding your Product
  3. Creating your Avatar

This training is structured one by one or week by week and you can’t get into further training (first 3 weeks are open right away) unless you contact the support.

ClickBank University 2.0 Review

Once you ask support to unlock the rest of the training (or you happened to follow the training as it is drip-fed)  you get to the rest of the courses.  Just to mention the topics briefly:

  • Week 4 Course Content Creation @ Outsourcing
  • Your perfect upsell to maximize the sale
    ..
  • Finalizing your product via Builder
  • JV Managing (Joint Venture)
  • Split Test
  • How to Scale
  • Selling high ticket products on webinars

Each section has video training with different lengths – from the shortest ones (up to 5 minutes) to the longest one with more than 20 minutes.

2nd type is for affiliate marketers who want to promote other products. This course is 8 weeks long. And here I will say quite frankly -> It does not have enough information to make you a successful affiliate marketer. In 2019, you want to learn much more in order to “make it” as an affiliate marketer.

Fortunately, there are still other sources where you can educate yourself more deeply.

For example, Neil Patel has tons of free valuable stuff you want to look at.

Back to the CBU Affiliates section;
Also here, you have the first 3 weeks of the training unlocked, and then you have to raise a ticket or call support to unlock the rest of the training. You can also continue week by week as suggested by CBU founders.

TIP: Since there is a 30 days money-back guarantee, it is recommended to ask for unlocking the training and check as much content as you can. Within those 30 days, you are able to decide whether you like the training or want to go elsewhere.

ClickBank University 2.0 Support

The current version of CBU 2.0 has improved the support system. Not only you can raise questions in the comment section underneath each video (or maybe already see the answer by other members), there is also a dedicated Forum Section where newbies can always reach out for help, or just exchange any kind of information.

ClickBank University 2.0 Review

Founders of the CBU offer additional support. There are webinars once per week where all members ask questions. Well, I have not attended the seminar, but from other reviews, I know that these are recorded and you can watch them over and over.

While I was reviewing the support section, one thing caught my attention and that is the structure of these webinars. Apparently they are not well organized and one can get lost just watching the webinar alive. The good thing is, that you can always re-watch the webinar.

My Final Opinion of ClickBank University 2.0

I remember CBU in earlier versions. I must say their training got better. And probably also because of reviews (like his ) about the product.

When I was looking for a legit online course, it was really hard to decide which one is legit, which one has upsells or in the worst-case scenario, which one is scams. By reviewing these online courses, one can get a feeling about the product within a few seconds.

But I digress.

ClickBank University 2.0 is a legit online course, although not the best one. I still hate the upsells, and I have that feeling in real life as well (in McDonald’s for example, when I want to order just the sandwich.)

In my opinion, the price is also a bit high – especially with the upsell $594.

On the other hand, you can still try it, and if you are not satisfied with the CBU 2.0, you can get the money back, no question asked.

Here Is an Alternative For You – For a 60% of the CBU Price and Much More Thorough Training

I do realize that investing money in online education is always a big deal.

If you had a chance to try out a specific platform for free, would you do that? You don’t even need your credit card.
I don’t want to deceive you – this particular platform called Wealthy Affiliate, as an alternative platform, do cost money as well.

But you can get started for Free. Just use your email and get inside. See how do you like it. The creators want to make it accessible for everyone so that is why there is this 7 days period when everyone can check it out.

After the week, the person can still keep his or her account, but most of the training within the platform. will not be accessible. 7 days, though should be long enough to figure out whether it is something that suits that person or not.

The entire platform has more than 200,000 active members and it still grows. If you are interested in some success stories I have included them in my Wealthy Affiliate review as well.
Take your time and let me know what you think of it.

Conclusion

We have covered what is the ClickBank University Course about. Maybe there are still opened questions, so let me know in the comments below, in case I have missed something.

To sum up – the total costs of the CBU would be $738, including upsells. Please bear in mind the recurring fee of $47/month.

If you have a budget and you want to learn how to sell your own product, by all means, go ahead and take as much as possible from the course.

If you looking for a more passive income that means as an affiliate, CBU is probably not the best online training teaching How to start an affiliate marketing business.

In case you have questions, let me know in the comment section below.

    • Glad you like it.

Regarding the 12 minute affiliate – I have also done my review and to be honest, it is not that much to like. I mean there are many upsells and the quality, of course, does not worth it.

If you have any questions regarding these courses, let me know
      cheers, Mike

  1. Great review. I agree with a lot of what you say. I do promote ClickBank University as an affiliate, but I urge those I promote this to, that they should only buy it if they are going to focus on promoting CLICKBANK products ONLY and actually focus for 2 months on their training only. So the total cost is under $100.

And the upsell, is really just for vendors, and not crucial. You can find other softwares that do the same.

Great review, very legit and transparent review. I concur.

  2. hi mike,

thanks for the review. I have received emails from them asking me to sign up and I wasnt sure if it was worth it.

From the reviews, I’ve read its just basically an upsell model with very basic training. nothing beneficial for established bloggers. great for beginners but not for intermediates.

and it doesnt come cheap! because I live outside the usa, i have to pay tax twice – the US and my resident country.

i think im gonna wait a few more years still they really up their game and then we see

    • Tarun, thank you for the comment.

I live outside the USA as well. I have singed up for one CB product a time ago, but I remember I paid only US tax. I did not have to pay the tax in my country.

You can give it a shot for 2-3 weeks and if you not satisfied you can ask for money back. Or finish the 1st months and just ask them to leave the program so they don’t charge you any further.

    • Charles, you can join the ClickBank as an Affiliate marketer without signing for ClickBank University Course. Although It may seems so at first glance.

When you want to promote ClickBank products as an affiliate, you simple go to Clickbank site, and then got to “Create Account”. Follow the steps, and in few minutes you have your unique ID.

You log in, and go to “Affiliate Marketplace”. Choose the product and you are all set.

  4. Thank you for sharing ¨ClickBank University 2.0 Cost-Are There Any Upsells? ¨ I also have mixed feelings about ClickBank. My opinion is that the biggest challenge for the business model taught inside ClickBank University is to create your own affiliate product. In other words, you have to first create an amazing product that´s going to get sales, get positive reviews and make other affiliates wanting to promote your products. In short a lot of ifs. Not only to create just 1 product, but other high quality products that you can promote as upsells. This is a LOT for most newbies to successfully master in one go. Most successful creators of ClickBank products have a ton of online marketing experience.ClickBank University does not have any exact formula for creating a successful product. Even if you do, much of your success has to do with being able to create amazing ad copy on your landing pages and an awesome video sales letter (VSL)

    • You are right Enrique. It takes much more than just one 12 week course. It may give you some information to gain an overview, but one need to check other sources as well.

And most importantly, to apply what you learn.

Enrique thanks a lot for valuable comment.

  5. This is a great post! This is a very important question for me because upsells can make or break a company in my eyes. I know many companies where the Upsells really are optional extras and the standard functionality of the product excluding the upsells works brilliantly, but other times where the upsells are more important than the product you already have already purchased.

I like the fact that they teach you how to make a digital product as well as teach you affiliate marketing but the outdated training may be a bit of a concern. I think overall Clickbank University is a decent programme but I would still prefer Wealthy Affiliate. I would probably use Clickbank University to learn how to create digital products.

Do you know if Clickbank has any plans to update their affiliate training?

    Thanks for sharing this information!

    • I couldn’t agree more about the upsells, Renton.

Currently I do not have any information regarding the update. I think the CBU 2.0 will be around for some time (at least 8-12 months – my guess).

But they already updated the product once, and the quality got better.

So probably, the future update will bring higher quality course.

  6. Thank you for sharing this post, I have personally learnt more about the Clickbank from it, I like the way you openly talk about the real payments including the tax, that’s how they should indicate to help someone budget for it.

Secondly, I have heard about clickbank before and tried to create account but I found that I am from a country that is not supported by clickbank. Is there anything I can do to help me have a clickbank?

Similarly, I have similarly come to learn that it’s quite  expensive to learn a clickbank, but I think it’s worth try.

I am very lucky to have come across your post, really appreciate you for the post.

    Thank you,

    from Joy.

    • I am glad, the post has helped you. Joy.

As for the country issue, it may be suggested to change the IP address, by using VPN.

For example google “Hide My Ass” or “Private Internet Access”. These two are probably the most popular ones.

It maybe expensive, although 2 months should be enough to learn what CBU offers. That way you pay no more than 100bucks.
